Hello!

Welcome to my blog! I'm not very good at blogging myself, so I'm depending on all of you to help me keep this blog thriving. Share your reactions to my video, and push me to finish my book on time.

  1. I'm so excited about your book! Meeting you this year has been such a blessing to my life. You are such an inspiration... not only to the physically disabled but also to the able-bodied like me. The parts of your book that you have let me read are so touching and heartfelt. I’m always so amazed by the way that you take your seemingly impossible life situation and make such a positive result from it. You are truly one of a kind!
Now you just have to finish this book—I’m ready to read it!!

  2. Hey Mackie! Working with you over the past 6 months has been wonderful. I have grown to love you as not just my employer, but also my mentor, confidant, encourager, and friend. You have been so sweet to me, and I appreciate you allowing me to be myself. Thank you for encouraging me along the way, and giving me advice (and being ok if I didn't always follow it!) I loved working with you on some of your book, and reading the chapters you allowed me to see. I can't wait to see the finished product - I hope you'll send one to me in South Carolina! Maybe I can talk to some local bookstores in Lexington and they'll carry your book there.
Again, thanks for allowing me to be a part of your life, and of course, Sonny's life. He is absolutely a joy, and I'm going to miss that little ragamuffin more than you'll know.

Love you Mackie - don't forget me!

  3. Hi Maxine,
First let me tell you how proud I am of you. I really admire your wisdom and your strength. I truely think you are a remarkable woman. I've only known you for a short while but you've already become such a big part of my life and I love you dearly. I really enjoyed the few chapters of your book that I've read and I can't wait to read the entire book. This may seem totally irrelavent, but I think God confined you to a wheelchair because you are one of his angels and the feet of an angel should'nt touch this sin soiled earth. I think he put you here to touch the lives of his people and I must say "job well done." I can't wait until you finish your book so you can touch the rest of the world as you've touched me and countless others. I love you-stay strong and sweet.

    Sincerely,(your friend) Kim

I love love love your new website. Thank you for showing it to me. I think it fits your personality very well and I CAN'T WAIT until the book is done and I can share it with everyone (you're almost there)! I'm so thankful to have met you and the opportunities I've had to build a friendship with you. You're a blessing to everyone you meet. I am so excited for you and the doors your book (and God) will soon open. I'm glad you can share your story with everyone through your book, DVD, and website. It displays your bravery, grace, and sweet sweet spirit perfectly. May God bless this journey in your life. Thank you for everything, I'll be the first one in line to get a copy of that book!

  5. Maxine,
I'm new at this blogging, also. I will have to get tips from you and Ginny. I have read the other blogs you have received and I see I am not the only person inspired by you. I, too, have been blessed by your friendship and the friendship of your mom and dad. I am so excited about your book and cannot wait to read all of it and to share it with all my friends.
    God bless you.
    Love,
    Debbie Suggs
