Mr. and Mrs. Hobson Waits

On Wednesday evening, September 23rd, about 100 people honored me with their presence at my book signing at Off Square Books in Oxford. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Hobson Waits (Mr. Waits was the principal who said "yes"), April (from the chapter "Someone Named April"), Kathleen, and Beth Webb (my camp counselor when I was 10). My thanks go to Dr. Ann Monroe for her wonderful reading.
Maxine, I know it was absolutely wonderful!!! You deserve every bit of admiration and all honors. Your crowning achievement above ALL else is the LOVE of so many who have known you throughout your entire life. You have garnered more love than most will ever know in a lifetime. Your honors and titles and awards are many, but the LOVE of so many is immeasureable!!! You MUST feel it!!! You give so much love in addition to your brilliance and talents you share...well, Maxine, God's love is simply shining through you. Your precious family planted those seeds of His Grace and helped you nurture them into the love you share with everyone today.
